Japan’s disaster

Hello everyone,

As you are all well aware, Japan had a major earthquake and tsunami on March 11th. I live in Japan and this has affected the progress of this website. I apologize for the delay. I hope to get everything ready over the next few weeks.

We will run a special rate to help with the relief efforts in Japan. Please come back soon and see our specials!

Thank you.

Spelling

Spelling

Our new product, Dictation Academy, will not only help your listening, it will also help your spelling.

You will need to write out the words.

You will be trying to improve your speed.

As such, you will unconsciously pick up the sounds you are missing. And you will learn when we have unvoiced sounds.

Unvoiced sounds? What are these?

Well, there are different kinds and situations. The most common kind that you have probably seen or learned is something like: “I wanna” and “He’s gonna.”

If you don’t know these, check out our post on these. Or, better yet, get started with our course Dictation Academy and see for yourself.

Listening is important

Listening is important. It really is.

You have studied the books.

You have read a lot.

You know the grammar.

But, you still can’t speak? You still can’t understand what people are saying?

You need to improve your listening. You need to improve your sense of sound. The rhythm, the speed, the various sounds – these are not easily learned through reading. You need to learn these through listening. And that is what Dictation Academy wants to do.

We want to help you improve your listening. Give our course a try.

Better reading – Listening is still important

What do we mean?

Even if your goal is just to improve your reading, your ability to hear English is an important part. For example, if you saw the following sentence, “Are you content with the contents?” would you be able to hear the difference between the two similar words? If you have read much, you will know you sometimes need to read similar words differently.

Part of that knowledge is grammar. And part of that is a sense of the language. We want to help you develop that sense. Our Dictation Academy course will help you.

Watch for it. It is coming out soon!

The winter holidays were quiet…

Hello everyone,
We were fairly quiet here on the blog over the winter holiday. That was just on the posting side. We have been hard at work on the “back area” of this project. We are almost ready to launch our first, our flagship product, the Dictation Academy.
If you would be interested in being one of our testees, a Beta-tester, please contact us. You can post a comment here or send us an email. Beta-testers will get the product for free.

All we ask in return is for an honest review. Did the product work? Did it work well? How did you use it? We will tell you more after you contact us.

If you have a friend, a teacher or a student who might be interested in testing out our product, please send them a link to this post.

Thanks.
